Food Safety level 1

The aim of this Food Safety course is to equip you with the knowledge and skills to work in a food environment. By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of good hygiene practices
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene
  • Describe cross contamination and know how to prevent it in your workplace
  • Describe how food can be put at risk and know what controls to put in place
  • Know the key food temperatures and how to record the temperature of foods
  • Keep your work area clean and free from pests
