Learning Outcome

These learning outcomes aim to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to ensure the safe and ergonomic use of display screen equipment in the workplace.

  • Understanding DSE Regulations
  • Identifying DSE Hazards:
  • Ergonomic Principles:
  • Self-Assessment (Remote): Identifying potential issues and implementing corrective measures independently.
  • Self-Assessment (On-Site): Acquire skills to conduct an on-site self-assessment of DSE workstation ergonomics, including adjustments to chair, monitor, keyboard, and lighting, to optimize comfort and safety.
  • One-to-One Video Assessment: participate in a one-to-one video assessment session with an instructor or assessor, where specific DSE ergonomic issues can be addressed and personalized recommendations provided.
  • Corrective Actions: Corrective actions to mitigate DSE-related hazards and improve workstation ergonomics based on self-assessment or video assessment feedback.
  • Assessment from a qualified VDU/DSE Assessor Included. Corrective Actions provided.

Course Certification:

On successful completion of this course learners will receive a VDU/DSE certificate from Moran Safety Services valid for 2 years.
